This program should convert your existing v1.3b gamebase64 databases to be usable in GameBase. This is untested on gamebase64 databases less than v1.3b. It has been tested on Andreas' v1.3b Blast/Dotson database.

To get your existing v1.3b database working in GameBase, you need to do the following: -

1) Run the GameBase Toolbox (GBToolbox.exe) and create a new GameBase database folder. Call it "C64" or something similar.

2) Run the database update tool (DBConvert_v13b.exe) to convert your database to the new format. When prompted for the new Destination Database Filename, select (to overwrite) the .mdb file that you just created with the GB Toolbox (e.g. C64.mdb"). This .mdb file should be in the subfolder of your GameBase installation folder that is named as you specified in the GB Toolbox.

3) Copy the following files from this converter program's zip file into the relevant places in your C64 database folder (as created in step 1 - this folder is located inside your GameBase installation folder)...

- Text.ini
- Emulators.ini
- MusicPlayers.ini
- Splash.gif (into the /Splash folder)
- Startup_32x32.gif (into the /Gfx folder)
- Script Files (unzip into the /Scripts folder)

4) Load GameBase, select your database from the startup selector window (if it pops up), and setup your paths/options/emulators etc..

5) Run Verify Available Files from the Tools menu in the main GameBase window.

Feel free to change the GFX and Scripts to suit your needs if you like!
